Shown in the above photos are the Non-Commissioned Members (NCO's) of D-Section, 2 Provost Company during WWII whose unit was deployed on the
Dieppe Raid in 1942. LCpl Irvine Eugene Thompson, second from the left, embarked on Operation Jubilee to France on 18 Aug 1942 and disembarked (wounded)

L/Cpl Thompson received the following Campaign Medals: 1939-45 Star, France Germany Star, Defence Medal, CVSM and Clasp and the War Medal 1939-45.
He enlisted on 02 Feb 1940 at Edmonton, Alberta and was discharged at No. 11 District Depot in Vancouver, BC on 14 Jun 1945.
Photo and information was submitted by L/Cpl Thompson's relative, Mrs Cathy Burwood, whose Grandmother was L/Cpl Thompson's half-sister .
