Volks Wagon Patrol Vehicle - Germany 1964
Volks Wagon Patrol Vehicles were acquired by 4 Provost Platoon for use as administrative and patrol vehicles in 1963 - 64. They were indeed
cheap to operate but limited in scope as a general use police vehicle. Furthermore; some of the six, plus, foot members of the C Pro C during
that era encountered great difficulty in finding enough leg room in the front, let alone the rear seat.
The V/W Patrol Car had long been utilized by the German Police for community policing throughout the Country for decades previous to the C Pro C.
