Shown in the photo on the left with his assigned motorcycle is none other then the late Colonel Andrew (Andy) Ritchie, former Canadian Forces Director of Security while in England during WWII in the rank of lieutenant. On the right is then Lance Corporal (Unpaid), [ LCpl (Up) ] J. H. Stake somewhere in Europe manouvering his motorcycle across rough terrain. LCpl Stake participated in the ill-fated Dieppe Raid on the 18 Aug 1942 and was fortunate to disembark uninjured.
