Provost Serving With UNEF Egypt -1964 and 1974

In the photo on the left, Sgt (retired MWO) Don Tresham is shown standing in the desert while on mobile patrol of the Gaza Strip in Palestine in 1964. In the adjacent photo on the right is Lt (retired Captain) Nat Smith of the C Pro C who was Sgt Tresham's patrol partner on the day in question. Note: The pale blue Chevy S/W patrol vehicle which must have been an unusual sight in the Middle East.

I am informed by former member of the C Pro C, Otto Boyko, (retired Captain) that the blue Chevy S/W was utilized by himself and Brazilian MP, Giraldo Quiroz Rojas, while conducting Black Market patrols.

Warrant Officer (retired) Larry MacDonald submitted the above photo of himself while serving with the UNEF in Egypt in 1974. Larry was an acting sergeant at the time.

In the above photo, former member of the Canadian Provost Corps, Corporal Sam Moses, is shown with three of his United Nations Emergency Force (UNEF) Military Police colleagues from other participating nations in Egypt in 1964. From left to right are: Pte Green (Belgium), Sgt Horg (Norway), Cpl Sam Moses (Canada) and Lance Corporal Singh (India). Sam is currently enjoying his retirement in the Southern Shore area of Nova Scotia.
